When Date was a child he got smallpox in his right eye robbing him of half of his eye sight. Some sources say he plucked out the eye himself when a senior member of the clan pointed out that an enemy could grab it in a fight. Others say that he had his trusted Officer Katakura Kojuro gouge out the eye for him. Because of his missing eye his own mother Thought he was unfit to take over as clan leader leader and started favoring his younger brother Kojiro as heir. It is speculated that she tried to poison him one night while serving him dinner. Masamune consequently killed his own brother in order to come to power
Date Masamune's Christianity Beliefs
He showed sympathy for Christian missionaries and traders in Japan. He allowed them to come and preach in his provinces. Masamune himself was secretly a Christian convert. Even though he funded and promoted an envoy to establish relations with the Pope in Rome, he was likely motivated at least in part by a desire for foreign technology

Lord of the flies response
1. Did you know that "Lord of the Flies" is another name for the devil? The title of the book suggests that the author was interested in evil. Interestingly, all the evil was committed by the children and the "Lord of the Flies" never appears. Describe some of the evil you witnessed in the film. If you did not see the whole movie you can discuss any evil you have heard of in the news. Some of the evil was when half of the children spelt into two seperate groups and one become some Tribal group and the other was still trying to find a way off the island.
another is when the tribal group killed the two kids the first one was by accedent but the second one was on purpous and killing is high on the evil chart.
2. How responsible do you think the children are for what happened? At what age is a person no longer a child and fully responsible for his or her behaviour?
I dont know the age but ill geuss at 18 and only one *i believe* was around that age and the only real adult had head tramua and pretty much killed him self but i would have to say it is a tad bit there faults since we never saw how they crashed we can't tell how reponsibale they are
3. What do you believe? Do people behave because they know that it is the right thing to do, or do people behave because they are afraid of consequences?
I think people are afraid of consequences because some people might kill someone if they didn't have to spend most there lifes in prison
4. Whose fault was it that Piggy died? Was it simply the boy(s) who rolled the stone on top of him or was it the whole gang?
the Whole gang because they are all barbarians
5. Do you feel that people act differently when they are in a group? What is the difference? Why will people do things as a group that they would never do on their own?
because in a group they can blame each other and get more done
