Freedom Writers
1. Why do you think Mrs. Martin and Mr. Pierce chose this film for this class?
They probably chose it due to its impact. also i think they picked it because it flimed a english class they more then likely chose it because of the fact that avarage kids created there own book and it states anyone can get a education no matter were you are from.
2. Did watching this film change the way you think about high school or teachers or education?Explain.
No it didnt because i feel to think about people (teachers) and Locations (High schools) singley and not as a group because they arnt for example one school my have a pool the other wont my thoughts about the two would be different
3. Was any part of the movie confusing? If so, what question(s) about the movie would you like answered?
None of this movie was confusing for me infact it was quite interesting for me. I found it a bit educational and also a bit informainal.
4. At what point did the students start learning from their teacher? What changed?
Around the middleish part of the movie when the picture someone drew was being passed around and she made a well worded statment then the next day she brought in the novel idea for the students letting them document there lives.
5. Does seeing this film make you feel any differently about your own opportunities in high school or this class.
Not alot a bit it makes me a bit more interested the writing field of work such as reports spread sheets evlauations etc... but i also like to draw and write so this gives me ideas of my own.
6. Is Freedom Writers a good movie? What did (or didn't) you like about it?
For the most part i say yes because of the statement it makes about anyone can get a education no matter of who they are i also liked the fact they made the statement interesting with the movie. but i didnt like some of it like the parts were the guy left the teacher because of her job .
